Why Choose Our Roses?

Our Beautiful Quality Roses!

Roadrunner Florist hand picks the freshest most beautiful roses.

So, let me tell you a little bit about roses.

Roses, like diamonds, are graded. You can buy a diamond for just about any amount of money, but beware! The price is commensurate with the value, the grade, the quality of the stone. It’s the same about roses. Roses are graded based on their stem length and vary in the size of the head of the rose.

The roses you order from Roadrunner Florist are only top grade roses. We know the quality of the rose before we design and deliver the arrangement for you.

Then there’s something called the “cold chain”. That means our roses, once they reach the United States, are shipped across the country in air conditioned vehicles all the way to our local wholesaler, who processes them and chills them until we select them. This is Pamela inside the cooler at  one of our local flower supplier warehouses, with our salesman Bob.

After we choose the flowers, we process them into our shop, chill them and then we design and hand deliver your arrangements.

One more thing: have you ever heard of Ethylene gas? It’s poison to flowers. Go ahead, google it. You’ll see apples and pears emit Ethylene gas, which decreases the life expectancy of fresh flowers. Why, then are the flowers you buy at the grocery store stocked, displayed and cooled with the produce? I know, I know! It’s because it’s that’s the refrigeration they have. They don’t have to have a separate cooler for the flowers! Or a separate place to display them! They put them right there, with the Ethylene gas, the apples and the pears.

Have you ever tried to order online, only to find out your flowers can’t be delivered on a Saturday, Sunday, Monday or Tuesday? Wonder why? Because the flowers have to sit somewhere in a warehouse waiting for you to order them, then get thrown into a truck or van, and the delivery can only be on certain days! What good is that when the birthday or anniversary is Saturday, Sunday, Monday or Tuesday? That’s what we do differently: we hand deliver your order at the right time to the right place.

Or even worse…have you ever ordered something like this:

Have you ever come into a flower shop to buy bread and eggs? Of course not!

Your local flower shop specializes in roses and fresh flowers, treating them with the tender loving care that they deserve. Roadrunner Florist’s Pamela E Smith, a graduate of Michigan State University Floriculture, who has been in the industry for more than 50 years, knows quality and care and how to make sure the roses and flowers you receive from Roadrunner Florist are the highest quality, longest lasting available.

We work with a network of real florists across the country and around the world who have the same values as we do. Therefore, when you contact Roadrunner Florist for a delivery outside of the Greater Phoenix Area, you can rest assured your flowers will be treated in the same professional manner.

We invite you to call, click or come by! You won’t be disappointed with the roses (and flowers) you send or receive from Roadrunner Florist!
